Our Sound and Breath session is given by Natalie Garih, founder of Smarana Healing, and Rida Kıraşı, founder of Soundala Therapy.
Somatic Pranayama is a session where Breath and Sound Healing come together. We use breath as a tool to return to our essence, to remember ourselves and to open space for emotions that we cannot put into words. With somatic breathing, we reach the deepest layer of the body: the body holds what the mind suppresses and forgets - and with breathing, we begin to hear the voice of the body and remember to feel.
Sound instruments use a principle called entrainment to bring brain waves into a meditative space. Many studies have shown that staying in ASC (altered states of consciousness) encourages the softening of the ego and therefore leads to a more holistic habit of thinking, allowing room for energetic changes such as unity consciousness, emotional clarity, and creativity.
