Making Space for the New, with Sound & Stillness | Rida & Can

A hamam sound bath held in the 500-year-old acoustics of Mimar Sinan, guided by the Soundala team. Through steam, stone, and vibration, we gently clear what has ended and create spaciousness for the new to arrive.

About

January arrives as a quiet threshold: the old has been laid down, and the new has not yet fully taken shape.

This hamam sound bath is an invitation to make space.

Not to rush into intentions, but to clear the inner ground so something new can arrive naturally. In the warmth of the hamam, steam softens the body and the stone holds us. Sound moves through water and air like a gentle guide, helping untangle what no longer needs to be carried.

Through layered frequencies, slow rhythms, and deep resonance, we create room —room in the body, room in the breath, room in the nervous system.

Held within the magnificent acoustics shaped by Mimar Sinan over 500 years ago, this experience unfolds in deep dialogue with the architecture itself. Guided by the Soundala team, sound meets stone, echo, and steam — allowing vibration to travel slowly, fully, and with intention through the space.

Rather than filling this space immediately, the practice honors emptiness as fertile ground. Lingering residue from the past year — subtle tensions, emotional weight, mental noise — is invited to dissolve into warmth, vibration, and echo.

The hamam becomes a womb-like vessel of rest and integration. As listening deepens, the body unwinds and the mind softens. What remains is not absence, but availability — a quiet openness that allows clarity to emerge on its own.

This session is not about effort or urgency. It is about standing at the threshold with presence, allowing spaciousness to do its work.

From this place, the new does not need to be chased. It arrives when the space is ready.

This sound bath is for those who wish to enter the year unburdened, grounded, and gently open — beginning not with pressure, but with embodied listening and trust.

*Sound meditation is a form of meditation that aims to harmonize brain waves with the help of various instruments and to transition the body into a deep rest and repair phase. Sound healing therapy instruments use a principle called “entrainment” to bring brain waves into a meditative space. In many studies, it has been observed that staying in ASC (altered states of consciousness) encourages the softening of the ego and therefore leads to a more holistic thinking habit, providing space for energetic changes such as unity consciousness, emotional clarity, and creativity. It has also been proven that meditative studies affect the reduction of blood pressure and cortisol, one of the stress hormones. The study opens up space for both physical and spiritual relaxation.
